BVERMA is an association of property owners in the Belfair View Estates development who pay an annual dues assessment which is used to maintain both paved and unpaved roadways. Services provided by these funds include road signage, paving, grading, graveling, brush cutting, snow plowing and road striping. Some of this work is done annually while some is done on an as-needed basis. Other duties include fiscal responsibility for all funds collected from members, development of an annual budget, maintaining records of all meetings, legal actions and correspondence, ownership authority regarding all common use properties and conducting other general business necessary for the functioning of the association.
BVERMA is governed by the State of Washington RCW chs. 24.03 and 64.38, regarding homeowners associations as well as by its own set of bylaws established in 1979. It is specifically concerned with the maintenance of the development's roadways and has no authority regarding other issues in Belfair View Estates.

Emergency Evacuation Route
In the event that Canyon Road, the only real entrance/exit from the development, is not accessible due to blockage, fire or other natural disaster events and evacuation from the development is necessary, the following is an emergency route to exit:
1) Follow Hurd Rd north to the DNR clearcut area till you find the yellow gate, east side of roadway.
2) If not already opened use bolt cutters to remove the lock or any other forcible method to open the gate.
3) Follow that roadway until it intersects with Hurd Rd. and turn right.
4) Follow Hurd Rd. until it intersects with Belfair-Tahyua Rd and turn right. This will take you to Northshore Rd.
The Washington State DNR has given us permission to use that route (formally called Shoofly Rd. but not signed) and to breach the gate in emergencies.
A member of the BVERMA Board of Directors will use bolt cutters to open the gate, but anyone with the equipment necessary to get the gate open up to and including destroying the gate, may do so as saving time will be essential. It is a good idea that our members drive out to this area to familiarize themselves with this route. See the map below for route details.
